An assessment session working on real material, so the plan is based on evidence.

A written plan, regular sessions, and a progress review every few weeks.
The first lesson
What actually happens.
It is not a sales call. It is a working session, and you should come out of it with something useful even if you never book again.
- We work through a piece of the student's own material — homework, a past paper, a draft.
- We identify what is understood and what is missing, rather than assuming from the grade.
- We agree the goal in plain terms and write down what will be covered, in what order.
- You receive the written plan within one working day, and the rate for your level.

Parents are welcome in the first lesson. For younger students it often helps to have a parent present at the start, and we send a short summary afterwards either way.

Each topic marked as introduced, practising or secure — visible to student and parent.
Review conversation
Every four weeks: what has improved, what has not, and whether the plan should change.
Mock papers
For exam preparation, full timed papers marked against the mark scheme with written feedback.
Practicalities
The questions everyone asks first.
What do we need to join a session?
A device with a camera and microphone, an internet connection, and a quiet space. Sessions run over video call with a shared screen for working through problems together.
Can parents sit in?
Yes, particularly for younger students. Some students concentrate better alone; we will agree what works after the first session.
What if the tutor is not the right fit?
Tell us and we will rematch you. A mismatch is usually about style rather than competence, and it is worth sorting out early.
How far ahead do we book?
Most students keep a regular weekly slot. Around exam periods we recommend booking two weeks ahead for the extra sessions.
Does it work across time zones?
Yes. Tutoring is fully online and we schedule to your local time.
